‘The Wild Oysters Project’
The Wild Oysters Project was a collaborative university project developed by Annie James, MacKenzie Brown, and Lucy Smith.
The concept involved designing three weathered steel plinths featuring cut-out logos and the project name to raise public awareness of oyster reef restoration and the wider environmental impact of native oyster populations.
Their design aimed to be both durable and visually striking, reflecting the ecological message at its core. The project was entered into a university competition and was selected as the winning proposal.
Although the plinths have not yet been built, they hope funding will be secured to bring the work to life..
